Matty Moon – Live Sound Engineer

Matty has run sound for gigs and concerts in many venues across the UK. Most recently working alongside Bobby Aitken, the well-known Theatre and Live Performance Sound Designer who also designed the sound for the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games, on productions with The Dowsing Sound Collective and We Are Sound, a 120 piece choir and rock band. This work has included various venues such as; The Union Chapel (London), The Apex (London), Bush Hall (London) & The Corn Exchange (Cambridge) as well as intriguing & interesting spaces, such as Tattersalls (Newmarket).

 
From rock bands to classical/orchestral ensembles, musical theatre and the avant-garde, Matty has planned and run sound at a number of well-respected UK venues such as the Dublin Castle (London), The Scala (London), Corn Exchange (Cambridge), and The Junction (Cambridge). Matty began his live sound career as a house engineer at the much missed venue The Boat Race in Cambridge, working with touring acts such as The Datsuns, Dive Dive & The Broken Family Band, and also The Joy Formidable, Puncture Repair Kit and It Hugs Back at the Portland Arms in Cambridge.
