This month seems to have whizzed by. Have had several tracking days with long standing client Paul Roland & a new Cambridge band Grieving. Paul & I have been compiling tracks for a re-release of his first few albums through Cherry Red Records entitled ‘In The Opium Den – The Early Recordings 1980-87’, as well as recording vocals and mixing his next album. Grieving have been recording a 6-track EP – which is already sounding noisy, raucous and awesome.
A few other highlights from the month have been working with The Dowsing Sound Collective again for the Cambridge e-luminate opening concert at Great St. Mary’s church. It was a packed event & the church looked amazing flood lit in shifting colours.
It has also been great to get some more projects booked in with Lonely the Brave. I’ve been working with them for over 5 years now and they are soon to release their 2nd album ‘Things will matter’, produced by Ross Orton. I have recently had the pleasure of mixing the first single
‘Radar’. It has been mastered by Dick Beetham at 360 & is a gloriously epic & heavy track
